Hello crafty friends. Today’s card is a look at the Mini Landscapes – Countryside stamps with a simple outdoor scene and a little pencil colouring.

So, having cut a piece of premium card to fit on a 5×5 card blank, I stamped the little house into the centre, straightening out the ground line on it (Clarity’s stamps can be repositioned on a stamp mount and will then spring back to their original shape). I cut a mask for it from Clarity’s reusable blank material, so that I could colour in the landscape around it. This time I reached for my Perga Liner pencils which haven’t seen action for some time, but I wanted to use the watercolours in the set. I scribbled two greens (A14 & A16) onto the landscape and a light blue (A5) into the sky, then used my waterbrush to blend out the pigment.

I stamped the trees from the set around the house in ‘library green’ Archival ink and shaded then in with the green Perga Liner pencil, once again blending it out with my waterbrush. I then shaded in the house with brown pencils, adding a green door.

To finish, I added the horse, birds and the sentiment in black Archival and then simply attached it to a 5×5 card blank.

I have to confess, after a busy few days with work commitments, I haven’t ventured far out of the house today – not least because it’s been very windy and raining (the cat hasn’t been impressed with that either!) My little outdoors scene does fit the theme at The Male Room, though, and my horse picks up the ‘critter’ focus for Addicted to CAS.
