Hopi symbols

Hello crafty friends – I hope you’ve had a good weekend. I’ve got another offering to share with you from the new Hopi Dancers collection, this time using the symbols from two of the sets – Earth Gathering at Dawn and Air Keeper of Birds. I stuck to my favourite CAS style, simply heat embossing the symbols onto a strip of companion paper.

This is a great design for those offcuts pieces of paper. I cut a strip of teal coloured Waimea Falls companion paper then stamped the images onto it in clear ink and heat embossed them with WOW’s superfine gold powder. I found it easiest to start with the centre one, then worked outwards on each side.

I used a maroon Perga Colour pen to simply highlight the centre of each panel, then attached it to a topper that I’d cut to fit on a 6×6 card blank, adding a mount of the Waimea Falls to it. I stamped the sentiment above the panel and simply attached the whole piece to the 6×6 card.

I love these little symbols, and there’s a different one in each of the nine sets in the collection. I’ll be back with another creative offering tomorrow.
