I’m back for the final time today (I said it was a busy one!) with my design team card for the new theme at Sparkles Challenge, where we want you to feature a trio of something on your card. I opted for a simple route on this one, turning one of the new Flower Wall printed cards into a birthday card triptych, adding one of the Tall Art Deco Sentiment too.

I went with a 7×7 card blank on this one, so I had plenty of room to accommodate the Flower Wall card. I realised that the shading on the Pastel Rainbow paper pretty much matched one of the card colours, so cut a square of that, edged it with a black Sharpie (I always use a ruler for this when on paper, so I know the pen won’t slip!) and then adhered it to the card front using Pritt stick. Once that was done, I stamped the sentiment into the bottom corner.

I cut the Flower Wall card into three strips of varying widths and ran the Sharpie around all their edges. The next challenge was to get them lined up on the card front, so I laid my rule along the bottom to give me a straight edge to butt up against and stuck the larger left hand piece into place. I then did the same with the narrowest piece on the right, which meant it was easy to evenly space the final piece in the centre of the other two.

And it really was that easy! Although these cards are described as ‘colouring’ ones, with the flower images left white to add your own shading, I opted to leave them blank for this as the colours on the background are so pretty. And it would be easy to chop these cards down if you wanted to use them on smaller cards too.

I’m going to share this card with a couple of current challenges, picking up the flower palette at Inkspirational (although my colours in the background, not in the flowers) and the ‘anything goes’ option at Seize the Birthday.
