ombre snowflake

Hello everyone. I’ve been busy today packing all my craft goodies ready to head to Kent tomorrow to get set up for Clarity’s Christmas Open Days on Friday & Saturday. I’ll be demoing on both days with a couple of fab new stamp sets, including the Winter Wonderland ones. For today’s card I simply went with the snowflake outline stamp and a little ink sponging, just to tempt you in…

I love the super fine detail on this stamp, and simply sponged ‘uncharted mariner’ and ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxides onto it, which gave me a lovely green tone in the centre where they blended. I gave it a quick spritz with water and planted it straight onto a 5×5 card blank. Once the ink was dry, I lined up a small square nested embedder over it and used a ball tool on the reverse of the card to emboss a frame around the image. I found the perfect sentiment in the Christmas & Celebrations word sticker set, which I simply edged with a matching Pergacolour pen.

And that’s all there was to it! It’s not too late to decide you fancy a day out at one (or both) of the Open Days – I’m sure there will be tickets available on the door! I’m now heading over to share this at Addicted to CAS, where their current theme is ‘snowflake’. See you again tomorrow.
