Christmas floral delights

Hello everyone. I’m really getting into the Christmas spirit this week, with several festive meals out – I started today with a delicious lunch with some of my closest friends. Anyway, to keep us in the seasonal mood, here’s another Christmas card, this time using the ‘floral delights – merry Christmas‘ stamp set from ClarityCrafts. I’ve kept it very traditional this time, using the colours from The Paper Players, the moodboard from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the inspiration photo from The Card Concept.

Starting with a small square of stencil card, I first stamped the individual bow in black Archival ink, then cut a mask for it from Clarity’s blank mask material so that I could stamp the floral frame over it. Keeping the mask in place, I added the small leaves & berries stamps to create a swag across the top that the frame is hanging from.

I coloured the leaves with green Pergaliner pencils, then used a red Pergacolour pen to dot the berries in, before shading in the bows with a gold gel pen.

I used a square embedder to emboss a frame on the front of a 5×5 card blank, then added a mount of green card to the topper and glued it into place.

I haven’t used this stamp set for a while – it’s such a great image, as are the others in the ‘floral delights‘ collection (it’s worth checking out!)
