leafy squares

Hello craty friends. Well this A4 sampler set of stamps from ClarityCrafts proved very popular yesterday, selling out twice! I thought I’d share another of my samples using it, this time repeat stamping the little leafy frame using the tones from Color Dare

The first step was to cut a small square of stencil card into quarters, then stamp the leafy frame onto each using ‘squeezed lemonade’, ‘bundled sage’, ‘lucky clover’ and ‘picked raspberry’ Distress Oxides and mount each of them onto a co-ordinating piece of companion paper (great way to use up offcuts). I trimmed down half a 6×6 card blank and used a square embedder to create a frame on it. I ran masking tape around the frame, then used a waterbrush to splatter the inks into the topper, trying to keep them into the areas where each topper would be going.

I attached the background to a 6×6 card blank, then added the four toppers, popping a little scrap card on the back of each to lift them slightly. The final touch was a word sticker aacross the centre.

Thanks for dropping in. My hopes of a sunny Bank Holiday weekend have been most definitely been washed away, so I’ll just have to stay indoors and craft!
