I hope you;re not feeling too confused that I’m sharing a Christmas card in the middle of Holy Week, but I’m still working to stay on top of my personal challenge of one each week! Today’s card takes ‘Jayne’s winter scene – church’ stamps from ClarityCrafts and I’m going to share it with the challenges at Christmas Craft Creations for their designer paper’ theme, plus Peace on Earth and The Holly and Ivy, both of whom have ‘anything goes’.

Took a piece of Clarity’s ‘Great Lakes’ designer paper, opting for the muted tones on the reverse side, and cut it down to fit a slimline (UK DL size) card. I stamped the wall and gate with black Archival ink. The masks that come with the set are for adding colour to the sky area, so I cut a new one for the wall & gate from mask material and then stamped the church and trees to sit right behind it.

I used grey Polochromo pencils to shade in the wall, gate and church, switching to green Pergaliners for the trees.

I used a rule and a Sharpie pen to put a black edge around the paper, attached it to the card blanks and finished with a word sticker that I’d also edged with the Sharpie.

I love this English country church scene – I left it without any snow as green Christmases seem to becoming the norm here thanks to climate change!
