Easter bunny ears

Welcome to Monday and another Easter card – this time using the fabulous ‘bunny ears’ stamp which is the latest offering from Clarity‘s Craft Club! I’ve paired them with the grass part of Clarity’s ‘deerscape’ mask, inspired by the palette at Color Throwdown and a slightly loose take on the layout at Freshly Made Sketches which I rotated.

The first step was to create a frame on the front of a 5×5 card blank using a square embedder. I masked off the frame with low tack tape, added the upper part of the grass mask and brushed ‘mowed lawn’ Distress Oxide into the lower part of the card front. I covered the grassy area with the lower part of the mask, then stamped the bunny ears into place. I coloured the inner part of the ears with a pink Pergaliner pencil, then lightly brushed ‘squeezed lemonade’ in from the masked edge of the card to shade the sky area.

I thought the grassy area looked a little flat, so repositioned the mask a couple of times and brushed some more of the ‘mowed lawn’ across it. The final step was to add the sentiment.

Such a fun image! I think that bunny’s lying in wait to get a head start on the Easter egg hunt!
