London

Hello there! I thought I’d share one of the demos I’d got prepped for yesterday’s TV shows, but didn’t have time to get to. I love the contrast of the red bus against Clarity‘s London skyline mask (these are reusable thin laser-cut plastic adhesive masks and great for sponging ink through). It works perfectly for the challenge at Color Dare and for the CAS theme at Inkspirational (I didn’t take their option of adding a balloon)

I started with a piece of card cut to fit on a UK DL size card blank and placed the upper part of the ‘London skyline’ mask onto it (I cut it across each side with scissors to separate it), adding in the additional little pieces for Tower Bridge, the London Eye & Big Ben and then running a strip of low tack tape along the bottom edge. I used a Versafine Clair ‘nocturne’ ink pad (nice and juicy!) and a spot-on sponge to fill in the image, just pounding the ink into the card. Once dry, I attached a strip of the BOW-WOB (Black on White – White on Black) collage paper across the bottom of the stencilled image.

I attached the topper to the DL card blank and wanted to add a pop of colour for contrast. I stamped the bus from the ‘London framer’ set, coloured it with a Pergacolour pen, fussy cut it and added it to the card front.

I think this has made such an iconic little scene, don’t you?

  1. Another catch all, no spam comment from me to cover since my last comment… everything is beautiful. Scotland was my Grandfather’s homeland and always feels like home on my unfortunately rare visits there
