Edinburgh castle

Hello crafty friends!  Well, it’s TV day today, so I thought I’d share one of the demos from my first show, using the ‘Scotland framer’ stamp set

I started with a piece of Antarctica paper cut to fit on a 6×6 card blank, stamped the words frame with Versafine Clair ‘nocturne’ ink and heat embossed it with clear powder.  I then ran low tack tape down the words on each side, stamped the castle into the centre and heat embossed it.  (Top tip – leave the tape in place while you shake the embossing powder over the image, then remove it before heating. That way the powder doesn’t stick to any tape residue on your paper). I realigned the masking tape to cover the outside of the frame and the centre,  then stamped & embossed the ends of the stamp to extend the image on each side.

I took a torn piece of copy paper and a spot-on sponge with ‘fern green’ Archival ink to even out the colour below the castle across the paper.  I then simply shaded the castle with a grey Polychromo pencil, added a black mount and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

It was a fun show with Dean Wilson, but my goodness, that hour goes so fast!
