to travel is to live

Hello crafty friends. I’m busy with TV prep today, as I’ll be on Create & Craft TV tomorrow for ClarityCrafts with their new travel & places stamps, plus a few stencils, dies & masks – so much to play with! I went with the ‘famous places’ stamp set on this early peek, with a bit of a different take on the colours from what you might expect…

I first took a piece of stencil card that I’d cut down to fit on a 6×6 card blank and stamped the Statue of Liberty and Taj Mahal images in black Archival ink. I wanted a funky contemporary look to this, so went with turquoise, lime and purple Pergaliners to colour them!

I used one of the square embedders to create a frame around the images, added a layer of Waimea Falls companion paper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. I finished with the sentiment from the stamp set, again in black Archival ink.

What do you think? These goodies are right up my street – I love to travel with friends and am looking forward to our next trip later this year when we’re off to Canada! I’m going to share this with the new challenge at Just Add Ink, picking up square & saying from their options.

  1. Love it. I love the images and the colouring. As always a great card. Where in Canada do you intend to travel? I live in British Columbia on Vancouver Island. If you heading this way maybe I can show you around a little? Canada is a big country as I’m sure you know.
