Hello crafty friends. We’ve got a new theme at Alphabet Challenge – we’ve now reached X and Caz has opted for Xtra Love Hearts on our cards. I remembered that I’d got the ‘nested square lace heart frames’ die set last year, which hadn’t yet seen action, so this was the perfect opportunity! I’m going to share it as a second offering for Inkspirational‘s hearts theme and with Hand Stamped Sentiments picking up their new moodboard.
I started with the clouds and landscape masks, brushing ‘broken china’ and ‘mowed lawn’ across them respectively to stencil the background on a small square of card. I then cut the smaller of the nested hearts dies into pink Indian Summer companion paper and attached it to the card over the stencilled background.
I stamped the couple from the ‘wee folks’ set in black Archival ink, shading the ground below them with a Pergaliner pencil.
I added a matching mount of the Indian Summer paper and attached the topper to a 6×6 card blank, finishing with one of the ‘occasions sentiments’ stamps.
There’s more inspiration from the rest of the design team over on the Alphabet blog – we’d love to see your hearts creations in our gallery!
Love this!
