robin in a wreath

Welcome to my crafty blog and this week’s Christmas card – so far I’m keeping up with my aim of one each week…! I’ve picked up another of the small robins from ‘Linda’s Winter Wishes’ and paired him with one of KISS ‘Christmas wreaths’, all from ClarityCrafts

I started with one of the nested circle embedders, using the inside of the circle to create a raised frame on the front of a 6×6 kraft card blank. (Using the inner circle works in the opposite way to using the outer part of the usual embedders)

I stamped one of the Christmas wreaths into the centre of the frame using WOW clear ink, then heat embossed it with white super fine powder. I used a red Pergacolour pen to colour in the berreis, then stamped the little robin inside the wreath with ‘potting soil’ Archival ink, colouring him with Pergaliner pencils.

I finished by simply stamping the sentiment from the wreaths set in ‘red geranium’ Archival ink.

Nothing too complicated here – this will be a good design for batch making later in the year. I’m sharing it with Addicted to Stamps and Peace on Earth

  1. I love this beautiful CAS design and you can never go wrong with white on kraft for Christmas IMHO! Your robin us so sweet and you have coloured him beautifully.

Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM.

    Hugs
