I’m back again, this time with an early look at Barb’s ‘Clarity Classics’ show on Create & Craft TV tomorrow (Sunday), bringing back some of the early Clarity designs. This one features the ‘willow lady’ – I remember this from years back when I first discovered Clarity stamps!

So I kept it simple on this one, picking out one of my inky mop-up backgrounds on a small square of stencil card (I think it might have ‘festive berries’, ‘carved pumpkin’ & ‘squeezed lemonade’ Distress Oxides on it). I stamped the ‘willow lady’ image in the centre with black Archival ink – then promptly dropped the ink pad on the top corner! I’d intended to stamp some leaves as a frame on the top anyway (which was lucky), so managed to cover it up by repeat stamping the top corner of the image, using first and second generation ink. I also extended the ‘island’ in the image out to the edge of the card using a micron pen.

I added a narrow white mount, attached the topper to a black 6×6 card blank and finished with an appropriate word sticker.

Such an easy image to use and perfect if you know a gymnast or ballerina! I’m going to share this with Festive Friday for a slightly lateral take on their theme, with bright colours, people (well, a person!), with her hands in the air and standing outdoors!

I love this and it has a slight Lavinia stamp feel to it. Very pretty background. I shouldn’t laugh at your dropping the ink pad, but I did. That is exactly the kind of thing I would do.
