As You See It Challenge – I need a bigger craft room!

Welcome to Friday and our new theme at As You See It challenge, where Jan has asked us to share our latest craft purchases on our cards this time. Now I’m in the fortunate position of being on ClarityCrafts design team and get sent a selection of products to use each time there’s a new release, but I bought the ‘hearts and leaves’ set from the recent Retro release which I fell in love with and didn’t come in my DT pack! I’ve picked up the colours from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the layout from Global Design Project to make a more traditional Valentine’s card than the one from two days ago.

I started with a square of stencil card and stamped the triple hearts from the set in ‘cobalt’ Archival. I brushed ‘evergreen bough’ Distress Oxide through the stripes stencil down the side of the hearts, then addded three of the smallest flowers from the ‘three blooms’ stencil with ‘picked raspberry’.

I added an offset navy blue mount and attached it to a 7×7 card blank, finishing with a few dark blue Glossies.

So come on over and share your latest craft purchases with us at As You See It. There’s more inspiration from my design teamies on the blog – what better reason do you need to get your new stash inked up?

  2. What a fabulous card and I can see why you had to purchase these stamps. They are unusual and how you added more using a stencil is great.

  5. That stamp is so modern Deborah and contrasts with the stencilled flowers and stripes beautifully – I can see why you wanted to add it to your collection! I just love the creative thought that has clearly gone into this card. Gorgeous!
