Hello crafty friends. I’m still working through my design team samples from Sunday’s launch of ‘Tina’s retro stamps’ from ClarityCrafts, this time combining two of the sets, ‘retro candles’ & ‘retro stars’. I thought it would work well as a second offering for the ‘cheers to the years’ theme at The Paper Players

The first step was to stamp the framed candle from the ‘retro candles’ set in black Versafine Clair ink into the centre of a square of stencil card, then heat emboss it with clear powder. I then repeat stamped the candle from the ‘retro stars’ set four times (twice each side of the central one), again using the black Versafine Clair and heat embossing them.

I then set about colouring the candles with Distress Oxides and a waterbrush – ‘festive berries’ and ‘carved pumpkin’ for the candles and flames, with ‘tumbled glass’ to fill in the frames.

I simply mounted the topper on a layer of Waimea Falls companion paper and attached it to a black 7×7 card blank.

Thanks for dropping in. It’s got very cold here in North East London over the last few days – I could do with the warmth from these candles!
