Christmas bauble

Hello there! I’m back with a second post, featuring another of the brand new stamps from ClarityCrafts that were launched on Thursday – this time the ‘SHAC baubles – season’s greetings’ set. I went with one of the baubles as the star on this card, for my design team contribution over at the new Christmas Bingo challenge. The new theme at Inkspirational is also helpfully ‘Christmas in July’!

Our theme is always Anything Goes with the Featured BINGO Card. Choose one letter in the word BINGO and use at least three items in that column on your Christmas project. This is not your typical BINGO card where you go up and down, left and right, and diagonally. To make this more fun, you can only go up and down using the columns! There is a FREE space in each column that you are welcome to utilize if you’d like! You cannot mix and match columns – you can only use one letter.  Got that? I went with column N for this card, using pink, teal & the free option (let’s call that stamping)

I started by stamping the bauble in the centre of a square of white card. You can see from this just how intricate the design is – which Barbara Gray drew herself in one of her SHAC (Stay Happy and Creative) shack online sessions. I wanted the bauble to really stand out as the focus, so opted to simply colour in the detailed pattern using Pergacolour pens.

I added a string for the bauble using a micron pen, then mounted the card onto a layer of pink from the ‘Waimea Falls’ companion papers. I added a piece of teal paper to a 6×6 card blank and then attached the bauble card on top.

I finished by stamping the sentiment from the set onto a strip of white card, layered it onto a piece of the pink and then to the card front.

Now I know these are not traditional Christmas colours, but I really love this look. These are fab Christmas stamps – a really versatile set. I think they’ll be well used this year!

  1. Such a sweet card Deborah! I really like the colors. It’s kind of a nice surprise to get a unique Christmas card. The ornament is beautiful and you did a great job coloring it and drawing the string. Someone will love getting this! Nice working with you over at Christmas BINGO Challenges!
