Welcome to my crafty blog and an airing for the ‘About Town’ stamp from ClarityCrafts that Barbara was showing on TV yesterday. It’s perfect for my design team card for our new challenge at Love to Craft – as always the theme is ‘anything goes’.
I started by stamping the main image onto a piece of ‘Waimea Falls’ designer paper (love these colours!). I then fussy cut the houses out of the border, coming in across the roofline.
I mounted a scrap of ‘Antarctica’ paper (which I’d cut to the same width as the houses) onto a square of black card and then glued the houses in place on top. I used a couple of my new Faber Castell polychromo pencils to add shadow to the image – lighter grey for the shading, and a darker grey in close to the lines.
I created a frame on the front of a 6×6 card blank using one of the Clarity embedders, and then attached the topper to sit within it.
This is a great stamp – perfect for someone moving home. Come on and play along with us at Love to Craft – the current challenge runs until 15th August, so lots of time to join in!
Love this! So simple but yet so dynamic!
