Hello crafty friends. I’m back with another card using one of the new ‘floral delights’ sets from Clarity – this time the ‘bouquets and vases’. I picked up the image from the top left of Just Us Girls‘ moodboard and added in the spring flower colours from The Paper Players

The first step was to emboss a frame onto the from of a 5×5 card blank using one of Clarity’s square embedders. These are so easy – just atached the plastic square to teh front of the card with a little low tack tape, flip the card open and run a bone folder around the edge of the plastic – I then sharpen up the lines with an embossing ball tool. I stamped one of the floral bouquets onto teh card front with ‘watering can’ Archival ink and then coloured with my Pergaliner pencils.

I wanted the flowers to look like they were in a glass vase, so stamped the image onto a piece parchment (vellum), again with the ‘watering can’ Archival, let it dry for a couple fo minutes and then fussy cut it. I lightly dabbed a little glue on the reverse along the stamp lines and stuck it over the flower stems.

The final touch was to add the sentiment from the stamp set – nothing else needed.

Just the way I like it – clean and simple!
So pretty!
