birthday foliage

Hello there. My new ‘floral delights’ stamps from ClarityCrafts arrived this week, so I made a start on playing with them – well, it would be rude not to! I thought the ‘thinking of you’ set would work well with this week’s colours at Global Design Project and picked up the top row of foliage, pastel colours & sentiment from TicTacToe‘s grid.

I started with a square of ‘very vanilla’ card and stamped the image in the centre using ‘pebble beach’ Archival ink. I ran masking tape around the straight sides of the square and lightly blended ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxide into it.

I used a light brown Pergaliner pencil to shade in the foliage and added ‘salvaged patina’ ink to the flowers with a Pergamano blending nib, picking the ink up off my craft mat. I ran a black Sharpie around the card edges and attached the square to a 6×6 kraft card blank.

The final step was to stamp the sentiment from the ‘floral delights – happy birthday’ set inside the square using the ‘pebble shore’ Archival ink.

It’s been a busy day, so it was nice to grab a little time at my craft desk. These stamps are perfect for CAS designs, so I’m a happy girl!
