Welcome to my crafty blog and our new theme over at Alphabet Challenge. This time it’s the letter Y and Billie has challenged us to come up with ‘something yummy’! I went back to ‘sweet citrus’ my new favourite Stampin’ Up! set, for some juicy oranges, which I’m also going to share with Happy Little Stampers for their die challenge.

I started with a piece of white card which I embossed with the ‘sweet citrus’ folder. I added a strip of ‘ever eden’ paper down the front and attached it to a 5×7 card blank I’d made from ‘evening evergreen’ cardstock.

I stamped the citrus images in ‘ripe persimmon’ Distress Oxide, with the leaves in ‘rustic wilderness’, then die cut them all – you may remember from a previous post that the die for the fruit fits into the embossing folder, so you can do both at the same time.

I stamped the sentiment in ‘rustic wilderness’ onto a strip of white card, which sat across the bottom of the fruit, and finished with a few orange Glossies

Who doesn’t love some juicy oranges? If you hop over to Alphabet Challenge there’s more deliciousness from the rest of the design team to inspire you. We’d love to see what yummy treats you add to your cards.

Great card, Deborah! We were thinking alike and it’s a great tribute to the bundle that our citrus are quite different. Have a great weekend!

Delicious – those zesty oranges look fab with the white and deep green (making a mental note of that colour combo!!) I went with oranges too (I do have a less healthy idea brewing – just need the time to make!!)
