Hello there. It’s time for a new theme over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges and this time it’s men only – we want to see your masculine cards! I’ve gone with some brand new stamps for this card – I picked them up at the IndigoBlu Open Day on Saturday, which I went to with my sister while I was visiting her as they’re based in my home town. Along with the Sparkles theme, I also incorporated the challenge of ‘stencils’ from Inkspirational

I srated by blending Stampin’ Up!’s ‘pool party’ ink onto a square of white card and then stamped IndigoBlu’s ‘geo circle background’ in grey ink. This fab stamp was included in our goodie bags at the weekend!

I added stars to the background by blending the ‘pool party’ through a stencil my sister had bought at the Open Day as part of a pack. The stars were on one corner, so I repositioned it several times to get the coverage I wanted. I splattered them with water and blooted with paper towel to break them up a little. Once dry I stamped the sentiment twice in grey ink, mounted the topper onto a layer of SU ‘basic grey’ card and then to a 6×6 card blank.

I’d also bought IndigoBlu’s ‘fly high’ stamps set, so stamped two of the planes onto white card and fussy cut them. I coloured them with ‘basic grey’ ink and a waterbrush, and added a little wash of ‘pool party’ to the background of each to soften the white card. I glued a little scrap of card onto the back of each plane and then added them to the card front.
