Hello there. I’ve gifted you a delicous looking dessert today courtesy of Stampin’ Up!’s ‘share a milkshake’ set – it’s going to be so useful for summery birthday cards. I’ve taken Just Us Girls‘ theme of CAS birthday cards, and added in the elements from the bottom row of TicTacToe‘s current grid (patterned paper, free & enamel dots)

I started with a piece of SU ‘tahitian tide’ patterned paper, die cut an oval into it and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. The checked pattern reminded me of a tablecloth!

I stamped the various elements of the tall sundae (it’s probable a milkshake, really!), including the spoon, and die cut them all. I glued the pink icecream to the top of the glass and then added the spoon – the die cuts an ingenious little slit in the icecream so the spoon slotted into to it to look like it’s dipped into the sundae.

I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white card, angled the ends and attached it to the card front. I finished with a few pink enamel stars

You could make the sundae much more elaborate than I have, with several more layers of toppers. It would look good in chocolate colours as well, which would defintitely be my son’s choice! He celebrated his birthday last week with a suitably sized chocolate brownie sundae!

Great card! Happy birthday to your son! Wish I had that sundae, lol! 😉

That’s a yummy looking milkshake! I like the oval you cut to tuck it into the patterned paper. Cute card, Deborah. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls!

I just love this gorgeous CAS card Deborah! The background paper is a perfect contrast to the strawberry sundae and I love the way the spoon slots cleverly into the die cut ice cream. Thank you for coming to play at Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week! Vicky x
