Hello there! I’m sharing another card today using one of the dandelions stamps from Clarity – they’ve just released a new three-way set of their abstract dandelions, but these are from the original set with individual dandelion stamps & a couple of patterned squares. I’ve taken a very loose interpretation of the sketch over at Inspired by, using the white space on my card to reflect the layout, together with the colours from The Paper Players

I started with a piece of white card that I’d cut to fit a 5×7 card blank. I masked off each side with low tack tape and used a couple of all-ove sticky notes to cover the top and bottom, leaving me a panel free. I blended ‘twisted citron’ Distress Oxide onto it and then stamped one of the patterned squares in Versafine Clari black ink. The square pattern is tesselated (it links up to form a repeat) which was very helpful as I needed to stamp it twice.

I repositioned a length of tape along the top of my stamped panel and added three of the dandelions, which I then coloured with Stampin’ Up! Write markers in ‘orchid oasis’ and ‘gorgeous grape’ (I don’t have ‘highland heather’ from The Paper Players’ palette).

To finish, I deckled an edge with a micron pen around three sides of the stamped panel (leaving the top open), ran a black Sharpie around the card egdes and attached it to the card blank. The final step was to add one of the new KISS word stickers.

I really love the graphic style of these dandelion heads – they have such impact!
I love this dandelion set. It is perfect for my color challenge this week! SO happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week!
