Here’s my second post of 2023 already! It’s day 7 of my 12 Days of Clarity and today the ‘wheelbarrow’ stamp from July’s Craft Club comes out to play.

I started with a piece of card from my stash that I’d used to mop up ink from my craft mat (I’ve got a lot of these!) and stamped the image onto it with black Versafine Clair ink. No memory of what colours were on the mop-up – looks like a light pink, orange & pale green.

I dug out my Pergaliner pencils again and coloured the image. I took one of the new ‘build-a-scene’ masks from Clarity to add a horizon, using a small sponge and ‘iced spruce’ Distress Oxide, blending the ink further downb onto the card as well. I added shadow under the wheelbarrow with a couple of the pencils (light green & light brown).

I used a micron pen to add a few more leaves to extend out beyond the frame, thanks to Barbara Gray’s idea on the project sheet, coloured those in, then used the same browns as on the wheelbarrow to shade in the frame.

I ran a black Sharpie around the edges of the card, mounted it onto a layer of the new Clarity Companion papers (this one is from ‘Amazonia’) and added the sentiment at the bottom, before attaching it to a 5×5 card blank.

I hope you’ve had a great New Year’s Day. We had a family trip to the cinema this afternoon to see the new Avatar film – it’s amazing but a bit long (just over 3 hours!). Wishing you all health & happiness in 2023!
Cute!
