Hello there and welcome to the second of my personal 12 Days of Clarity challenge, with the ‘duo of flowers’ stamp from February’s Craft Club.

I based the design on the current layout at Freshly Made Sketches and started by stamping one of the flowers onto a piece of card cut to fit an A6 card blank. I stamped it once, covered that with a mask I’d cut and then added the second one. I masked that one as well before blending ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxide onto the card, adding a little ‘ripe persimmon’ around the edge.

I used Pergaliner pencils to shade in the flowers, following one of the colouring schemes on the project sheet that came with the stamps.

I thought the background needed something more in it, so blended a little ink (just using what was left on my brush from earlier) randomly through areas of Clarity’s ‘dotty wave’ stencil. I ran a black Sharpie around the card edges and stamped the sentiment from the ‘build-a-scene meadow flowers’ set, before attaching it to the card blank.

It’s been a bank holiday again here in the UK and we’ve had a family get together, which is always great. I now need to make a start on writing my thank you cards, as I got some fab presents!
Sweet as can be! Love your flowers! Glad you joined us at FMS!
