Hello crafty friends. Some more new goodies to share today, with a sneak peek at the ‘marigold moments’ set from Stampin’ Up! that will be available in the new mini catalogue next month. The flwoers are a two step stamp and it’s the most gorgeous image. I’ve taken a fairly loose interpretation of the current sketch at Atlantic Hearts for my layout.

I started with a piece of the retired ‘new horizons’ DSP, mounted it on a layer of ‘evening evergreen’ card & attached to a 6×6 card blank.

The next step was to stamp the marigold spray – I used ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxide for the background stamp, then added ‘ripe pumpkin’ for the detailed petals. I also stamped the stems and a couple of leaves in ‘evening evergreen’, then die cut them all. I glued the leaves and stems onto the flowers and then added a little scrap card behind the flowers to lift them slightly when I attached them to the card front.

I finished with the sentiment stamped in ‘evening evergreen’ and die cut with one of the ‘tasteful labels’ dies.

Only three sleeps to Christmas now! I’ve finished the last bits of present wrapping today and got my shopping ordered ready for the family to descend at the weekend. So looking forward to it this year – we were in lockdown two years ago and had to isolate last year as my son got Covid! Praying for a return to more normal times this time round…
So pretty! Love the subtle change in colors/textures. SU has the prettiest papers!
