birthday florets

Welcome to my crafty blog. I’ve got the new ‘framed florets’ set from Stampin’ Up! out for another play today, this time using the sketch from Atlantic Hearts and the palette from Colour INKspiration

I started with a 5×7 card blank and attached a strip of the ‘hues of happiness’ paper across the centre. I added a panel mounted on a ‘granny apple green’ mat. Now I didn’t have any card in the right colour for the panel, so I just ran my SU Write marker around the edge of a piece of white card, which did the job!

I stamped and die cut a range of flowers and leaves from the set. I coloured the flowers with SU Write markers in ‘coastal cabana’ & ‘gorgeous grape’, using a blender pen to soften the colour out to the edge of the petals. I cut the leaves in the ‘granny apple green’ designer paper and the larger spray from ‘mossy meadow’. I also stamped a couple of the little berry sprays and coloured those in ‘merry merlot’, then assembled it all together using a mixture of foam pads & glue. I also stamped the birthday sentiment in black Versafine clair.

You all know that I love a few resin dots on a card, so I finshed with a few in ‘merry merlot’.

Thanks for dropping in – I’ll be back again tomorrow.

  3. I love how you combined both challenges–the card you made was so very beautiful and colorful when things outside (at least in my house) are gray. Thank you for joining us this week at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and look forward to seeing you again soon!
