Welcome to my crafty blog and another Christmas card in non-traditional colours. I’ve used one of the papers from Stampin’ Up!’s new ‘fitting florets’ pack, picking up the layout from CAS Colours & Sketches, the ‘festive’ theme from Inspire.Create and the middle row of christmas tree/sparkle/star from TicTacToe‘s grid.

I thought the blue & pink paper would work well for a Christmas tree image. I used the retired SU tree punch to cut three shapes from it & trimmed the trunk off two of them so they were just triangles. I turned them over to the pink side and glued them onto a 6×6 card blank. I then added the third one on foam pads, using the leaves and berries side.

I heat embossed an offcut of ‘night of navy’ card using WOW’s ‘clear sparkle’ powder, then cut out small stars using one of Julie Hickey’s ‘you’re a star’ dies. I stamped the sentiment from the retired ‘peaceful noel’ set in navy, glued one of the stars to the top of the tree and scattered the others around.

I really like the graphic design of ths one – it would work in lots of other colours too.
So cute!

The triangular Christmas tree works so well with the sketch Deborah and I’m glad you were able to share it with us too. A fabulous design! Thanks for coming to play at Tic Tac Toe! Vicky x

That blue paper design is my absolute favourite in that pack so it’s lovely to see it showcased in your non-traditional Christmas tree Deborah! Thanks for playing with us over at CAS Colours & Sketches and TicTacToe Challenge this week!
