Welcome to my crafty blog and my next dip back into Clarity’s craft club. I’ve now reached March 2020 and the ‘cup n saucer’ die set.

I decided to just use the cup die for this card of friendship, inspired by the quote at Time Out and using the colours from Color Throwdown.

I started with a square of white card and stamped the Maya Angelou quote from Clarity’s ‘poetry verses’ set, using ‘mowed lawn’ Distress Oxide. I layered it onto a piece of green gingham paper and then onto a 6×6 card.

I die cut two of the cups from pink card. I found a couple of small scraps of white card, coloured the centre of each with a yellow marker pen and then glued the cups onto them, so that the yellow showed through the pattern on each cup. I used my small scissors to trim the white card round the edge of each cup. I glued a strip of the gingham paper onto the card front and then attached the two cups on foam pads.

I finished with a few green resin dots around the cups.

There’s nothing like a shared cup of tea or coffee with a friend to make everything feel better!
