Clarity craft club lookback – hearts aperture die

Welcome to my crafty blog and my regular Sunday dip back into Clarity’s craft club. This week it’s the turn of the hearts aperture die from January 2020 (#13). It’s an obvious design for a wedding or engagement card, so that’s what I went with.

I started by cuttung the die into the centre of a square of white card. I then used low tack tape to mask around the edges of the solid hearts and blended ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxide onto them, before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

I die cut several of the small flowers from Julie Hickey’s ‘beautiful blooms’ set and blended the ‘dried marigold’ onto them, leavig the separate centres white. I also cut several leaves form Julie’s ‘fresh florals’ set in dark green card, cut them in half and glued them onto the flowers. I then attached the flowers to the card front and glued their centres back into place.

I finished with one of Clarity’s word stickers, which had an approrpiate sentiment.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m going to share this over at Color Throwdown as I’ve used their palette, and at Fusion – I was inspired by their photo of a window framed with flowers.
