Welcome to my crafty blog. I’d planned to share this card yesterday, but ran out of hours in my day so here it is now! I thought of this ‘wildflower spray’ stamp from Clarity when I saw the inspiration photo from Just Add Ink and have teamed it with the sketch from TGIF challenges. I’ll also share it with Happy Little Stampers as I watercoloured the flowers with inks.

The first step was to stamp the wildflowers onto a piece of smooth white card using black Versafine Clair ink. I then coloured the image with a waterbrush & Distress Oxides in ‘candied apple’, ‘dried marigold’, ‘wilted violet’ and ‘mowed lawn’.

It took me a little while to decide what to do with the background on the card, and in the end I blended ‘broken china’ & ‘mowed lawn’ onto the card front, to follow the landscape theme. I quite the effect as the card is not completely smooth.

I also blended a little the two inks onto the floral topper, then ran a black Sharpie marker pen around the edges before attaching it to the card front.

I foiled one of Julie Hickey’s die cut foilable sentiments in ‘ice blue’ WOW foil and added it to the card with foam pads. A little flock of birds in the sky finished it off.
