curvy birthday

Hello crafty friends. Today’s card mainly uses the ‘hues of happiness’ paper from Stampin’ Up picking up on the colours from Color Hues and the layout from CAS Colours & Sketches. I’m also sharing it over at Happy Little Stampers for their ‘anything goes’ dies challenge.

This was fairly quick to make, once I’d figured out what I was doing! I started with a piece of the ‘hues of happiness’ paper which has a section with lovely orange tones, trimmed it down and cut two corners from it using the retired SU curvy dies. I glued the two sections onto a piece of white card and then onto an A6 card blank.

I stamped the sentiment from ‘happiness abounds’ across the centre of the card. One of the great things about this set is that the dies will cut out some of the images from the paper – I chose two purple flowers to die cut and attached them to the card front with foam pads (I used a bone folder to bend the paper first, so they had a little more dimension). A trio of resin dots completed the card.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be back with another card tomorrow.

  1. Such a pretty card! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues! The blooms are lovely and I like how you added the enamel dots to echo the dotted flower center.
