Clarity Craft Club lookback – leafy triangle

Welcome to my crafty blog and my regular Sunday dip back into Clarity’s craft club. Today it’s the turn of the leafy triangle art block stamp from December 2021, which has now brought me right up to the current year – I’m going to have to think of something new for next Sunday!

I’ve picked up a couple of challenge themes today. The Card Concept have chosen ‘colours of fall’ so that sorted my palette for this card. Just Us Girls are looking for CAS creations – right in my happy space!

Amazingly, I found an inky mop-up background in my stash that had the right colours (yellow, orange & navy)! I trimmed it down and blended a little ‘festive berries’ Distress Oxide onto it as well.

I stamped the leafy triangle inot the top right corner with ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide. I wanted to make it look like a tree so added the stem from one of the ‘doodleology heart’ stamps. I stamped it twice, as it looked too thin on it’s own.

I then stamped the little leafy stem from the ‘woodland ivy art block’ set several times around the base of the tree, together with the ‘peace’ sentiment from the club set.

I finished by using red, orange & yellow Pegaliner pencils to blend colour into the leaves, picking up the autumn feel. I mounted the topper onto a layer of navy card and then onto a 6×6 card blank.

Thanks for dropping in again. That’s another weekend nearly over – I hope yours has been productive or restful, whichever you were wishing for!
