So another two weeks has gone by and we’ve got our next theme at Alphabet Challenge, where Dawn has chosen M for Magic.

I haven’t used Clarity Crafts’ ‘fairy round’ stamps for some time and decided to go with the ‘daydream’ one for this card, picking up the colours from Color Throwdown and the layout from Atlantic Hearts

Obviously, the first step was to stamp the image onto a square of white card, using blank Versafine Clair ink. The detail on this stamp is so crisp!

I coloured it in using Pergacolour pencils – brown for the tree & the hare, turquoise for the fairy and yellow butterflies. I blended yellow & green on the top of the toadstool, and green and brown for the stalk. then used a pencil to add shade around all the images. I lightly coloured the sky with the turquoise pencil as well.

I’d left the fairy’s wings white, so went over them with a WOW embossing ink pen and heat embossed with clear sparkle powder to they’re lovely and shimmery.

I attached a piece of Clarity’s ‘Antarctica’ paper to a 6×6 card blank, which has a lovely mixture of green, turquoise and yellow, then added two narrow strips of black card.

I mounted the fairy topper onto a square of black card and popped that on the card front, finishing with the sentiment that I trimmed down into two pieces and attached with foam pads.
