Well it’s time for a new theme over at Sparkles Challenge and Dawn has opted for ‘mushrooms & fungi’, which feels very appropriate for autumn.

I had to rack my brains for this one as I don’t have any stamps with mushrooms or toadstool, but then I remembered a couple of pieces of an old Stampin’ Up! toadstool patterned paper sitting in my stash which were just perfect. I trimmed a piece down, layered it onto a piece of rust coloured card and attached them to a 6×6 card blank.

I cut a leafy spray from SU’s ‘forever flourishing’ dies in the rust card and glued it onto the card front, part overlaying the patterned paper.

I stamped a sentiment from the ‘art gallery’ set onto a banner and sat it over the leaves using foam pads. I finished off with a few yellow Glossies around the leaves.

Do pop over to Sparkles to check out the great inspiration from the rest of the design team, and then come back & share your creations with us. I’m off to share this with a couple of other challenges – the layout is from CAS Colours & Sketches and I’ve incorporated the centre column of orange/rust & layers from TicTacToe‘s grid, with the patterned paper as my free element.
