Welcome to my crafty blog. I’ve got a pot of pansies to share with you today inspired by the photo at Just Add Ink, which I’m also going to share at Can You Handle The Pressure and Happy Little Stampers
The first step was to emboss a piece of SU’s ‘starry sky’ card using the ‘into the clouds’ folder, then attach it to an A6 card blank.
I stamped and die cut a few of the small flowers from SU’s ‘pansy patch’, using Distress Oxide in ‘chipped sapphire’ & ‘mustard seed’ (i love blue & yellow pansies). I glued them together into a pot that I’d stamped and die cut using the ‘plentiful plants’ set.
I attached it to the card front with foam pads, but felt it still needed a little more so stamped and cut a couple of small leaves, again from ‘pansy patch’. They nestled nicely into the sides of the plant pot and I finished with a few yellow matte dots. I haven’t put a sentiment on it yet – I’ll decide when I come to use it.
This card has made me think that I need to get on and get some pansies planted into the pots on my decking, ready for autumn. My poor summer plants didn’t so well in this summer’s heatwave, but the next month’s weather is looking much more British!
