leafy wheelbarrow

Hello crafty friends. Well I’m back after another short break away and thought I ought to make use of the ‘wheelbarrow’ from last month’s Claritystamp Craft Club, not least because this month’s is due to drop through my letterbox any day now!

The first step was to stamp the image in black onto a square of white card. I then blended blue and green inks (Stampin’ Up!’s ‘tahitian tide’ and ‘soft succulent’) across the card, taking it beyond the frame of the image but not right to the edge. The colours look a bit dull in these photos – they’re a bit brighter in real life.

I then used Clarity’s Pergaliner pencils to colour the image, adding some more shadow below the wheelbarrow as well with a brown pencil. I filled in the frame as well using a black micron pen.

I mounted the card onto a layer of black cardstock, then attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

It’s good to be back – I’m aiming to start blogging most days again. I’m heading off to share this card at Inkspirational. Their theme is ‘rotate – obviously there’s a wheel on my barrow, but I thought about the seasons also rotating as we’re on the verge of heading into autumn in the UK (but I may definitely be over thinking that theme!)
