floral diecut for you

Welcome to my crafty blog. Another quick post today – I’m about to head off to Kent for the two day Claritystamp retreat. So excited, as it’s been cancelled for the last two years thanks to Covid. It will be brilliant to catch up with crafting friends again. I thought it only appropriate to use the new die from last month’s Clarity Craft Club – it’s a lovely floral aperture designed by Barbara Gray. I decided it would work well with the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches, and added in the right hand column of die cut/free/embossing from TicTacToe‘s grid (I’ve used patterned paper as my free element).

I started with a square of Clarity’s ‘Antarctica’ paper, heat embossed the sentiment onto it using WOW’s superfine white powder then ran a black Sharpie around the edge and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I cut the floral aperture into another piece of the ‘Antarctica’ that had more pink tones in it, then backed it onto a die cut circle of the original piece. I cut a white frame using two nested dies and added that on the front.

The die cut circle went onto the card front on foam pads, and I just added a few white Glossies to finish.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m off to finish packing now and then enjoy the delights of the M25 motorway! It’s going to be a great couple of days with the Clarity team, filled with fab inspiration.
