Hello crafty friends. I’m sharing some delicious cocktails today that have headed off to my niece for her birthday, using Stampin’ Up!’s ‘nothing’s better than…’ set. I thought the colours from CAS Colours & Sketches were just right for this – these two could be a mint julep and strawberry daiquiri, don’t you think?

I started by stamping the cocktail glass onto a square of white card in ‘shadow grey’ Archival ink. I cut a mask to fit it from an all-over sticky note, and then stamped the glass again. I used ‘willow’ Adirondack and ‘spun sugar’ Distress Oxide with the infill stamp to fill the glasses.

I used a waterbrush to add the two inks to the umbrellas and ‘dried marigold’ to the fruit slices, together with a wash of the ‘willow’ around the glasses bases.

I die cut ‘cocktails’ and blended ‘dried marigold’ onto it before gluing it below the glasses. I finished by stamping the rest of the sentiments in the ‘shadow grey’ and them attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

Funnily enough, I went to see the new Elvis movie last night with a couple of friends, and we had some cheeky cocktails before heading into the cinema – the film is definitely worth a watch if you haven’t seen it yet.
Oh, I can sure relate… I have some days like that, lol! LOVE this!
