Hello crafty friends. I decieded to have another play with the fab ‘farming fun’ set from Newton’s Nook, thanks to the challenge theme of ‘kards for kids’ over at The Paper Players (Congrats on the 600th edition to the team!). These tractor & digger images are just fab! I’ve also used the layout from Atlantic Hearts and the colour palette from Inspire.Create this time.
I started with the background, using papers from the ‘sunshine and rainbows’ pack from the last Stampin Up! Saleabration. I went half and half, with a piece of ‘pool party’ for the sky and ‘so saffron’ for the ground (I think this is supposed to be little clouds, but I thought it looked like stony ground). This was also the closet colour paper I had to the ‘pale papaya’ in Inspire.Create’s palette. I added a strip of ‘bermuda bay’ across the centre – this was cut from the sheet of wide multicoloured stripes in the pack.
I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set onto the ‘pool party’ paper. I then stamped the two tractrs in black Memento ink and coloured them with my ‘poppy parade’ SU blends, adding touches of black & grey and finishing with a ‘bermuda bay’ pen for the seats. I die cut them and added them to the card front on foam pads.
I stamped ‘happy birthday’ from a Lawn Fawn set onto another stripe of the ‘bermuda bay’, trimmed it down and glued it to the card front, then finished with a couple of die cut clouds.
Hope you like this one – I’ll be back tomorrow with another creation.
