Welcome to my crafty blog and our next letter at the Alphabet Challenge. We’re on to G and Melanie has challenged us to ‘giggle’ with a humorous card.

The ‘senility prayer’ (a bit of a different take on the well known serenity prayer) always makes me smile – this is a stamp from Clarity that I’ve had for years. I thought it would work well with the current sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches as well.

I started, though, by stamping Clarity’s ‘linocut poppies’ flowers, bud and leaves in ‘shadow grey’ Archival ink – I wanted them to be pale in the background so the text showed up against them. I added the flower heads using ‘dried marigold’ Distress Ink.

All I then neeeded to do was to stamp the ‘senility prayer’ across the lower part of the image, using ‘bluebird’ Archival ink, and attach it to an A6 card blank.

Now this doesn’t look like a humorous card on first glance, but hopefully this little prayer has made you chuckle! Come on and join us at the Alphabet Challenge with your amusing cards – we’d love to see them.
Definitely made me smile,a brilliant sentiment,as you say a bit unexpected when you first view the card
