Hello there! I needed a new baby congratulations card today for a friend who’s got a new granddaughter, so headed for the ‘adorable baby’ set from Claritystamp – love this little romper suit! I’ve based my design on this week’s Global Design Project, where the challenge is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Krista’s card. I’m also popping over to Addicted to CAS with this, where their theme is ‘dots’.

I started by stamping the romper suit (which is on a bigger stamp with baby clothes hanging on a line). I shaded it with my Pergacolour pencils and then fussy cut it out.

I stamped the smallest of Clarity’s ‘dots & spots’ grunge background stamps onto a square of white card in ‘shadow grey’ Archival, then added the sentiment below it in ‘kitsch flamingo’ Distress Oxide. I blended more of the ‘kitsch flamingo’ around the edges of a slightly larger piece, mounted the stamped layer onto it and attached both to a 5×5 card blank.

All I then needed to do was pop the romper suit in the centre on a foam pad.

I really like this style – the dotty background gives it a really contemporary look. I made another in blue (very traditional, I know) but will make a couple more in other colours as well – not everyone wants blue or pink on baby cards.
Super cute! Such an easy design to CASE!

I’m really liking the dotted space as a background, while keeping the card really clean and simple. Super cute baby card. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS. Apologies for the late comment.
