linocut daisy

Hello there. Today’s card uses one of the new stamps I got at Claritystamp’s Open Day last weekend – the ‘linocut daisy’ set. I thought it would work well with heat embossing, so decided to give that a go. I’ve taken the layout from Freshly Made Sketches and the new colour combo of blue & green from Color Hues

I started by attaching a piece of Clarity’s ‘Antarctica’ paper to a 5×7 card blank. I trimmed down a piece of ‘Amazonia’ card, then heat embossed one of the ‘wee flowers’ into the corner, together with a few of the ‘chatter’ lines from the ‘linocut teasels’ set. That then went onto the card front.

I stamped one of the ‘linocut daisy’ images onto the other piece of ‘Amazonia card that I’d cut and again embossed it with WOW’s superfine bright white powder, before attaching it to the card front.

I finished by adding a word sticker and a few white Glossies.

Thanks for dropping in. It’s not been anywhere near as hot today, thank goodness – the flowers in my garden were looking very weary after yesterday’s heat.
