Welcome to my crafty blog and a very CAS one layer card. I was inspired by AAA cards challenge to just use 1 of the 9 rectangle areas on a card front with butterflies – all the design has to sit within the rectangle. I’ve teamed it up with the ‘dots’ theme from Addicted to CAS and the new colour palette from Color Throwdown

I started by using low tack tape to mask off the central rectangle on a 5×7 card blank, then stamped one of the small ‘butterfies & moths’ from Claritystamp into it.

The stamps come with pre-cut reusable masks, which I used to covere one of the images, but I needed a second one for the other butterfly so cut that out of an all-over sticky note. I then brushed ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxide through Clarity’s ‘dotty wave’ stencil to shade the background. I lifted the masks and coloured the butterflies with Pergaliner pencils in the CTD colours.

It’s been a beautiful, but hot, day here today and temperatures are forecast to be even higher tomorrow – a very good excuse to stay indoors and craft!

Such a pretty CAS card! Just perfect for the challenge! Thank you for joining AAA Cards! Hugs Åsa
