Hello there. I’ve got a very blue card to share with you today, using the ‘funky foliage’ stamps from Claritystamp. Barara Gray has given the Clarity community a challenge – to create a square, blue piece of art, so here’s my little offering. I took further inspiration from the new sketch over at Atlantic Hearts for the layout.

I started by stamping the leaves from the funky foliage set. They weren’t long enough to go the whole length of a 6×6 card, so I used a sticky note to maks the lower part of the card and stamped them in the top half first using ‘cobalt’ Archival ink. I then asked off where I’d already stamped and added the images again across the bottom. I coloured them in with a waterbrush and Distress Oxides in ‘broken china’ and ‘speckled egg’.

I blended a little more of the ‘speckled egg’ around the edge of the card, then mounted it onto a layer of ‘Antarctica’ paper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. I cut a strip of card to go across the front, which I also blended with the ‘speckled egg’, mounted on the ‘Antarctica’ and glued it across the card front.

I die cut a circle of white card, which also had ‘speckled egg’ blended onto it. I popped one of the wrod stickers acrpss it, trimmed it to follow the edge of the circle and then glued that to teh card front. A few blue Glossies finished it off.

I’m posting a bit early today, as I’m off to the Chelsea Flower Show for the afternoon & evening. The sun is shining so we look set for a great time!
