Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m sharing another Father’s Day card today – this one uses the new ‘horizon’ dies and co-ordinating paper from Stampin’ Up! I did an online class with Joanne James this morning using this set, and I’m now inspired! I’ve picked up a couple of challenges for this card, taking the left hand column of die cut / embossing /masculine from TicTacToe‘s board. Inspire.Create‘s theme is also ‘masculine’, so happy days!

I started with one of the designer papers, trimmed it down, added a mount in ‘evening evergreen’ and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I die cut the two fence pieces in white card and then ran them through the ‘pinewood planks’ embossing folder. I cut the grass and the trees in ‘evening evergreen’, then ran those through the ‘subtles’ folder to give them a bit of texture before gluing them all onto the card front.

I stamped one of the sentiments from ‘on the horizon’ in evening evergreen, and added ‘Dad’ from the retured ‘Truly Tailored’ set. The flock of birds just finished it off.

Thanks for dropping in. I can’t believe it’s Monday again and another week is underway – life is going so fast!
Awesome card!

These papers are gorgeous and I love the added texture of embossing the trees and fence too. Great job and glad you enjoyed the class and left feeling inspired!

What a great way to use these fab papers Deborah. I love the addition of the flock of birds and the die cut fence, grasses and trees and the way your sentiment fits perfectly in the space. Thank you for playing with us at Tic Tac Toe! Vicky x
