flowers

Welcome to my crafty blog and some exciting news! I’m thrilled to have been invited to be guest designer at Just Us Girls challenge during May. Their new challenge launches today and the theme is ‘flowers’. I’ve gone for an abundance of blooms on this card, using several Stampin’ Up! sets and the colours from the current challenge over at Colour INKspiration.

I started by drawing a pencil circle onto a piece of white card to give me the template for stamping my wreath, then stamped the large frower from ‘Art Gallery’ at the top & bottom using ‘polished pink’. I then inked the top flowers on the floral spray in the set using ‘misty moonlight’ and added them on either side. I stamped the double leaf from ‘Artistically inked’ between the flowers using jade, together with a couple of the small roses in pink. I finished the wreath with several of the little sprays (I think these are really flower centres) from the retired ‘beautiful friendship’ set. I don’t have any ‘sea foam’ ink, so used ‘pear pizazz’ as the nearest I’d got.

I cut a slightly larger piece of card, then blended the jade ink around the edges using a brush before attaching the stamped piece to it. They then went onto a 5×7 card blank.

I stamped the sentiment from the ‘flowering tulips’ onto another piece of white card in the jade ink, die cut it into a circle and attached it to the card front with foam pads. I added a few pink Glossies around the wreath to finish.

Thanks for dropping in. Come on and join the fun at Just Us Girls with your floral creations – we’d love to see your cards in the gallery.

  1. Hi Deborah, I was so delighted when I heard you would be guesting with us this month! I love your debut card and the color palette you chose. Great job gathering the images so perfectly around the center of your card. Awesome job! Have a great week and can’t wait to see next week’s card.
