keep growing, keep going

Welcome to my crafty blog. I’ve had a lovely afternoon, crafting virtually with my sister – we are both in Claritystamp’s Craft Club so got busy with our March goodies. I love how we can both use the same stamp and yet come up with very different cards – read on for the one I created.

I started with a small square of white card and stamped the floral panel in ‘watering can’ Archival ink. I coloured it with Pergaliner pencils in pale pink, pale green & yellow, then brushed ‘spun sugar’ Distress Oxide around the edge and clipped two of the corners with a corner rounder punch.

I masked off three sides on an A6 card with low tack tape, laid the stripes box stencil across it with the box aperture against the fold of the card, and then brushed ‘spun sugar’ and ‘bundled sage’ Distress Oxides through it. I lifted the masking tape off and brushed a little more of the ‘spun sugar’ around the card edge.

I then attached the topper over the aperture in the stencilled image. A few pale pink Glossies completed the card.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be sharing this card with a couple of current challenges. I’ve used the lovely soft colour palette from Global Design Project and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches (I’m hoping they’ll forgive the sentiment across the centre of the image!)
