Z is for zigzags

Hello crafty friends. It’s time for another letter at the Alphabet Challenge – we’re up to Z and Caz has challenged us to use ‘zigzags’ on our creations.

Z is for zigzags

I’ve got a few patterned stencils from Claritystamp that I don’t really use very much, and remembered this chevron design that I thought would be perfect. I decided to go with a rainbow of colours on it, inspired by the current theme of ‘rain or rainbows’ at Global Design Project

I trimmed a piece of smooth wite card to fit a 5×7 card blank, attached the stencil and then brushed Distress Oxides through it. I used ‘candied apple’, ‘ripe persimmon’, ‘squeezed lemonade’, ‘rustic wilderness’, ‘chipped sapphire’ and the gorgeous new ‘villainous potion’.

I ran a black Sharpie around the edge before attaching it to the card blank. I then cut a few flowers using the centre die from Julie Hickey’s new ‘dinky circles’, popped them on the card front wiht foam pads and added a few old Card Candies for their centres.

I just added a stamped sentiment on a banner and it was done.

Thanks for dropping in. Come and join us over at Alphabet Challenge – we’d love to see how you use zigzags on your cards.
